Black Forest Chia porridge

A high protein chia porridge with chocolate and cherries, inspired by Black Forest flavours. Simple to make and naturally high in fibre, it’s a balanced breakfast that feels a little more indulgent.

Ingredients

125g 0% Fat Greek Yoghurt

15g Chia Seeds

15g Freja Chocolate Collagen Protein Shake

40g Whole Rolled Jumbo Oats

70g Frozen Cherries

Cook the oats, chia seeds and chocolate shake powder with water in a saucepan over a medium heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring often. Add a little extra water as it cooks if you like a looser, creamier porridge.

At the same time, place the cherries in a small saucepan with a generous splash of water — enough for them to gently poach. Cover and cook until they soften. Remove the lid and let the liquid bubble for a few minutes so it reduces to a light syrup.

Once the porridge is thick and creamy, spoon it into a warm bowl. Serve with the yoghurt alongside and top the porridge with the warm cherries and their syrup. 

A small pinch of sea salt brings out the flavours.
